New Year, New Resolutions

This year I will...

Goodbye 2015, Hello 2016! At the start of every year, there are many new resolutions being made and I have quite a few of my own. Whether or not I keep all of them, I wanted to share them with you guys.

1. Stress Less
This has to be my number one goal for 2016. If you know me, I am one of the most stressed out people you may ever meet. So, my goal for this year is to be calmer, more relaxed, and not as stressed.

2. Blog
This year, I want to do even more blogging than I did last year. I also want my blog to continue to grow and the only way I can do that is to get your guys' input. So, please let me know what you all would like me to post and I will try my best to post it!

3. Stay Positive
One thing I want to focus on this year is seeing the glass half full instead of as half empty. Don't get me wrong, I have never really been much of a negative person, but I really want to be even more positive this year.

4. Get Out
It's the 21st century, 2016. Our world has changed so much in the last years or so. As I am typing this on my laptop, I am sitting on my bed in my room. Not that I don't love doing this, but I also could be getting out, going around town. That is something I want to do more of this year and what I recommend to you guys as well. If you want to go somewhere, go! Trust me, that episode of Gossip Girl on Netflix will always be there when you get back.

5. Take a break
I am the type of person that will work work work until she's finished with something. If I start a project, I have to finish it within a certain period of time. Not saying that this is a bad thing, but this year I definitely want to take a break in the middle of my homework. Whether that means going outside for a breath of fresh air, or even just taking a nap. Remember, it's great to push yourself, but always take time for yourself.

What are some of your resolutions for the new year?
I would love to know!

I'll put the link to Amie's blog down below, be sure to go check it out!

Here is one of her most recent posts: Falling for Freshmen

Christmastime in New York City

Holiday Favorites

Bow Party Decor For The Walls

My Favorite things to do during the Holiday Season

1. Driving around looking at Christmas lights. This is definitely a favorite for my family. Multiple times every Holiday season, we drive around the neighborhoods near where we live and look at all of the lights on the houses. It is one of my favorite ways to spend time with them and always gets me into the Holiday spirit.

2. Baking Christmas Cookies.  My best friend and I have a tradition of baking and decoration Christmas cookies and singing along to carols in my kitchen every year; it is one of our favorite things to do. Last year, we made so many cookies. I think it took us almost 2 hours to perfect them just how we wanted them. Hey what can I say? Everyone has their quirks.

3. Watching Classic Christmas Movies. Every year on December 1st, I turn on the Hallmark Channel and begin to start my 25 Days of Christmas movie marathon. Some of my favorite holiday movies are Eloise at Christmastime, Elf,  A Charlie Brown Christmas, and A Christmas Carol.

4. Going through the stack of Holiday Cards.  I'm not sure why, but whenever a new holiday card comes in the mail from a family or friend, I start beaming with excitement. I love watching the collection grow in the basket on our coffee table throughout the season.

5. Caroling at elderly homes. Not only do I love singing Christmas Carols, but I love singing at elderly homes as well. Every year, some of my friends and I like to go sing at an elderly home. Watching the people's faces light up as we sing to them is such an amazing feeling and makes me extremely happy.

Hope you enjoyed. :)
