Style Icon of the Month: Taylor Swift

We never go out of STYLE. Not only do I love that song, but I love Taylor Swift's outfits and clothes. She always looks so put together and classy whenever I see her in a magazine or doing an interview. She always seems to be styling the peter pan collars, mustard or maroon colored skirts, floral sundresses, bold red pants, and chic white dresses. Oh, and we can't forget her black leather jackets, hats, pea coats, and high waisted shorts either. Her style seems to vary from edgy to chic to classy and vintage. I love how diversified it is!
These are some of my favorite outfits that Tay has rocked.

Bake with Me: Memorial Day Blueberry Pie!

Happy Memorial Day weekend everyone! I hope your weekends are filled with pools, ice cream, sun, music, cookouts, and more! Whenever Memorial Day comes around, I know that summer is here. One of my favorite things about summer is all of the sweeter, fruitier recipes you can make, such as blueberry pie! I thought I would bake a blueberry pie this Memorial Day weekend for my barbecue, and I wanted to share it with you guys so you can make it as well.
Enjoy!! :)

Ingredients:
2 store bought frozen pie crusts (my favorite is Pillsbury, but brand will work well.)
1 Cup of sugar
4 1/2 Cups of washed and dried blueberries
1 Lemon
5 Tablespoons of flour
A pinch of salt

Directions:
First, preheat your oven two 35o degrees and then unroll one of the frozen pie crusts and place it into a pie dish. Place the blueberries into a strainer, rinse, and dry them. Next, pour the blueberries into a large bowl, add flour, and toss until coated. Then, add the sugar, juice from one lemon, a pinch of salt, and then stir until combined.
Finally, add the berries into the dish with the pie crust.

If you want to make the star crust covering on top of the pie, then just keep reading!

Roll out your other pie crust, press a star cookie cutter into it and make several stars. Next, place the stars any way you like on top of the pie, brush lightly with egg wash, and sprinkle sanding sugar on top (the egg wash and sanding star are optional, they just add an extra glow and sparkle to the pie.)

Your pie is ready do go into the oven! Bake for 45-60 minutes, or until bubbly.
Serve and enjoy!

My Top Netflix Picks

I have been using Netflix for quite some time now, and I can definitely say that it is one of my favorite past times. It is such a great way to kick back and relax after a long day at work or school. So, for all of you Netflix fans, I thought I would tell you about some of my favorite shows/movies to watch. Warning: they might just leave you addicted.

Grey's Anatomy:
Two Words. One crazy show. This show is probably one of the most dramatic, intense, emotional, and evocative shows I have ever watched. It is 12 seasons of love, hate, medicine, hospital rooms, and crying. It is a rollercoaster of a show but the best show I have watched in my entire life. The creator of the show, Shonda Rhimes, definitely knows what she's doing.

Gossip Girl:
Hey there Upper East Siders. If you are love New York City, have a passion for fashion, a love for brunch, drama, and romance, then this show is most definitely right up your alley. There are 6 seasons to this show and you may think that may seem like a lot, but I am not ashamed to say that I have watched each season twice! Between Blair and Serena's stunning wardrobe and the elegant New York City setting, I definitely recommend this show.

Heart of Dixie:
Three words I would use to describe Heart of Dixie are southern, humorous, and welcoming. I started and finished this show over Christmas break and I absolutely loved it. To give you a little synopsis, a doctor from New York moves to a small town in Alabama and it faced with many opportunities including her love life and a new job. I love this show, and it was a really funny one too!

Gilmore Girls:
Gilmore Girls came out so long ago, and I have always loved watching it with my mom when it was on TV. It is such a feel-good, witty show about a mom and her daughter. It is so appealing and relatable to all teenager girls, and any girl and her mom. Throughout the show, a teenage girl and her mom, Loreli, go through so many fun and crazy lessons, that are so relatable to any teenage girl and her mom. I would definitely recommend it!

The Carrie Diaries:
If you love Sex In the City, New York, Fashion, and Friendship, then this is definitely a great show for you. The Carrie Diaries is a spin off on the show Sex in the City. If you are interested in seeing Carrie in high school with her friends and interning at a fashion company in New York City, long before her adult years, then please please please watch this show!

Vintage Sun Dresses

Usually my posts on fashion are about a preppy and classy style. This usually means collars, bright colors, pearls, and gingham patterns. Today I thought I would talk about another classy style...vintage! I have always loved the vintage, retro style but when most people think of it, poodles and bright colored polka dots come to mind. But it's not all like that...I promise. A vintage style can include light colored peplum dresses, peter pan collar tops, and bows. One of my favorite stores that has a vintage style is Mod Cloth. I was shopping on their website recently and I came across some of the cutest spring dresses so I thought I would share them with you guys, enjoy!

Cute Things to Monogram

There used to be such things as monogrammed rings and necklaces, but now there are lots more of things you can monogram. Not only does monogramming add a preppy touch to any object, but it will also ensure that you will never lose anything again, haha! Here are some really cute things that are great monogrammed.
